BELIEVERS MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO THE NEED OF PEOPLE
Welvisi originated from a need to address the welfare and social welfare/prosperity of the Wellington community in the Western Cape. By means of constructive consultations with church and welfare leaders in said community, a concept was develop to try to make a difference through a structured process. For this reason our motto is: FUTURE MINDED WELFARE. The Christian church commits itself to a responsibility to play a central role in the process.
Cooperation between churches and welfare organisations, as well as the effective utilisation of sources can bring about a marked difference in the welfare and social welfare/prosperity of a community. This process empowers a community to make a difference to the need of people. However, it also unites believers around the aim, irrespective of language, culture, race, affiliation with regard to a specific welfare organization or church denomination.
Role-players like the business sector, as well as national and provincial governments are involved to render support.
These principles are universal and can be applied in any community. Welvisi makes the detail of the project, including documentation, available to any party that shares the core values of Welvisi and that wants to establish similar projects in other communities.
